We thought long and hard about adding it to our range as it takes considerably more time to cook than Organic White Sushi Rice, but considering the amazing flavor and addition of whole grains, it is worth it!
The short grain Selenio rice variety used for Organic Brown Sushi Rice has characteristics very similar to the Japonica rice that is used to make sushi in Japan. It is organically grown in the Piemonte region of northwest Italy, an area also renowned for the cultivation of risotto rice.
